Be Safe - the dangers of unstaffed tanning salons

A health and safety investigation has been launched after a 14-year-old girl suffered burns over 70% of her body using an unstaffed tanning salon.
Officials are calling for a ban on self-operated tanning salons in South Wales after a 14-year-old suffered burns so severe she was admitted to the hospital, according to UK media reports. Kirsty McRae, above, was burned on over 70 percent of her body after 19 minutes in a tanning bed. No-one was at the salon to prevent her from using the beds or stop her from using the booth for as long as she did.

Top cancer doctor says you SHOULD have a sunbed session

Using a sunbed carefully during winter months will boost your Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D is known to play a vital role in metabolism of calcium, which is needed for strong bones and last week a new study revealed it may help stave off Alzheimer's Disease. Research on English adults aged 65 and over showed that as their Vitamin D levels decreased, mental impairment increased.
